Position Description
The Renewance Billings Manager is responsible for developing business systems, processes as well as managing the billing and supporting team for timely, accurate and complete invoicing and collections for Renewance products and services. The Billings Manager works closely with the Commercial team and the Operations team to enforce discipline for on-time, accuracy and completeness to ensure high quality invoicing to Renewance customers. The Billings Manager will work closely with the finance team to ensure customer records, cash collection and financial reports for the business are accurate. The Billings Manager maintains an excellent relationship with customers, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the customer billing process, ensure submittals comply with Renewance policies and guidelines
- Hires, develops, and manages team to foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Manage customer-specific billing processes to ensure compliance to Renewance billing policies
- Promptly respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and related documentation including collaborations with the Commercial and Operations team to address and resolve customer concerns
- Ensures all invoicing complies with the sales tax laws in various states as well as relevant legal and ethical billing regulations.
- Oversees posting of payment and credit transactions
- Conducts credit reviews for current and new customers
- Works with all stakeholders to continually improve OTR (Order to Remittance) processes and procedures
- Prepares weekly KPIs and ad hoc reports as requested
- Work closely with the finance and accounting team for accruals, profitability and month-end processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in accounting, bookkeeping, invoicing is required. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite of tools, SAP Concur, QuickBooks and other business accounting and expense recording tools.
- Attention to detail and a passion for tracking and recovering all expenses.
- An ability to prioritize and manage expectations
- Strong team player who can also work independently.
- Ability to develop and foster positive relationships with team members and promote a positive culture.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and meetings
Preferred
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance or Economics, Business Studies or Administration, Mathematics. CPA certification is nor required.
- Experience in energy or construction services industries is highly desirable.
